When you see this post, you will probably know what we are going to say… kk

After In-Ear gift discussion (1st post. original, translation), we’ve been carefully waiting until the decision was done.  Though we had some positive feeds, we didn’t want to be hasty to post undecided subjects.

(So, we were really surprised when Wooyoung twitted about In-Ear this morning.  As devoted fans know, we talked with the company, but the company had already posted an advertisement about it.  We really wanted to wait until we were hundred percent sure… thought our heart fell.  Also, because we didn’t know if JYPE wanted or not, so we warned the company to make sure.  Wooyoung’s post is erased for now.)

For now…

JYPE or Wooyoung’s position is about the price of the product.

Though this is not the only present we gifted Wooyoung..kk

There are difference between knowing or not knowingwhat to get, and they were also worried that fans would donate money that could cost fortune.

So we told them that we already have money prepared and we will send a gift according to that amount. (well, we don’t have enough, but we bluffed… if we can’t Masters will do it..k…)

Wooyoung and JYPE thanked for our sincerity, and we are inspired and motivated to do much more. It’s not from one or two fans but many… if they really refuse just because of financial issue, then just accept it for our pure intentions…. shouldn’t the gift meant like that, so we said.

At the end, heart and heart met (actually phonecalls and text messages), and we got an answer!

So we quickly proceeded our plan (before we change our minds!). kk

First, pick the model, do listening text and get the base for ear, etc.  We let the company contact JYPE for those.

We already told the company not to tell the price range to Wooyoung, so he doesn’t have worry about us.  Wooyoung will pick it.

Contract and etc. problems will be signed by Wooyoung (just in case it gets broken), we pay the price, and we already discussed the timing under 2pm schedule.

Before Wooyoung receives it, we will check the product.

We are going well so far.

When we first phone-called, we just named ourselves Wooyoung’s fans.

But when we contacted JYPE for last decision, Wooyoung thanked us and wanted to know the name of the fansite.

It’s not like We really didn’t want to tell our homepage name (“Jangbba” almost came out from my mouth)

we said it’s okay.

We are just fans, and he doesn’t have to know our site.

Like we first started this project, this is not meant to spread our names.  We can’t give Wooyoung burdens by make our names known, you know.

Well.. some might be dissappointed, but…

Wooyoung really thanked us, and Wooyoung by asking our names makes enough for us to give meaningful presents; we will be content for that, too.

So if you see Wooyoung for real, don’t ask Wooyoung for reviews or In-Ear.

We just want to send him a gift ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

We are just fans online, and we don’t boast about our accomplishments.  If somebody say, “we are the one who sent you In-Ear” or “how is In-Ear?,” just ignore them, because they are not us…. ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Since we are open-home, and they are so many of anonymous donations; rather then only few knowing Wooyoung’s thoughts, why don’t all know nothing…

For a long time, we’ve been thinking about presenting Jang Wooyoung the present— but not to advertise our fansite—, and looking for the best, efficient present to Wooyoung.

While researching for his best fit present, we found about customary In-Ear, and we researched that famous singers like DBXQ, Big Bang, SNSD, Kim HyungJoong, JoKwon, etc. already use them.

From what we know, since Wooyoung for 2pm ever gotten a fan-present like In-Ear and we thought it could be sufficient and workable, we had posted for your opinions. Because you guys supported, we decided to proceed.

We contacted JYPE, but they were uncomfortable since he already has one and In-Ear needed the shape of one’s ears also.  So when we asked the company, we realized they could do business trips (Of course we didn’t say anything of a receiver… kkkk)

We thoroughly explained that we wanted to present something necessary and selectable.

We explained to JYPE our reasons, so JYPE contacted us back.  Managers and Wooyoung had talked over serious conversations (they said that they were concerned); they thanked for our heartful dedication but pleasantly refused.

The reason: too expensive.  And also In-Ear’s specificity.

In-Ear are all different to individuals due to different taste and suitability, singers’ preference are diverse.  Wooyoung, too, gave up on a product he bought in US.  We don’t know well, but probably it all depends on singers’ reasons…?

Anyways, because of such reasons—they were concerned that Wooyoung could be forced to used it for fans even though it may not suit him well—, they told us that they will only receive our heartfelt will.  Especially, Wooyoung’s thoughts were presented like that.

But really, we are only happy to give presents with pure heart, not to check for the evidence or thanks… right guys…?  Of course we would be delighted to see Wooyoung wear it as evidence, but we can’t force him to use unfit one for us…

Also, in reality, they refused for the main reason that it was extremely expensive for fans to provide.  

So… we persuaded them.

We are doing fundraiser as preparation…  Why don’t we present In-Ear instead of same boring electronics or 100 t-shirts…. kkkk

Also it’s for singers to try different In-Ears, and even if the custom In-Ear may not fit for Wooyoung, fans are content just to present him a gift. Significance of the tribute’d be enough, we told.

And they discussed again.

Right now, the situations is like this:

we are not completely decided on it or not, but many talked over and people started to donate, we thought it would be beneficial to spread the words.

We need to discuss more, but… right now we are trying to persuade JYPE to push our plan…

And if they accept it… since that is “custom-designed” In-Ear, many have said people with small ears (even ear canals look small..?), we are not too worried about it.  Sensitive singers like Kin Yoon Ah and Lee Seung Chul were quite content, too.  I mean, Wooyoung’s ears will not grow…..  Even if it may feel awkward first time on, you will eventually like it… k… (ask JoKwon for his review)

But if we cannot present In-Ear (unless Wooyoung agrees to make ear shape base…k we can’t do with wet cement, can we?), we will gather more opinions and prepare early.  There should be other things to present…  We can surely find other meaningful gifts together kkk

We will posted again if the situation changes… Until then… you know what to do.

Hottests and BBCs please read this.

Before you read my blog, I want you to know that I am Hottest and Korean-American who had lived in Korea more than in America.  I respect both fandoms, and this blog is not meant for any means of discrimination or attack on specific idols.  I just want both international fans and Korean fans to read the reaction to the Thailand-Block B incident as a perspective of a person who knows both cultures.

Okay, I found about the incident few days ago, while surfing on Korean website.  I read some articles, then read some of 2pm members reaction to the incident.  I even watched to the videos to make sure I wouldn’t make any miscounts. To be honest, when I realized what Block-B had done, I was angry.  ”How could they represent Korea like this?”  Of course, all humans make mistakes, and I knew Block B was known for their direct-ness.  But their tone during the interview was absurd.  Block B should have checked that they were foreigners and they could change the perspective on their nation by their careless actions.

I am from Korea, but I live in America.  I go to school where more than 90% Caucasians and 10% minorities including African-American, Mexican, and Asians.  Among 2000 students, only 8 Asians go to my school.  Only 4 are Koreans.  I know exactly that my friends rarely met other Asians other than me, especially Koreans.  I know that whatever I say and act will set my friends the mannerisms of Asian countries.  So I be careful not to bring any type of stereotypes.  Although technology has involved to an extent where we all watch Korean dramas and listen to music, but not all does that.  I am a foreigner in my area, and I know that I would affect the sense of Asia than internet.

Before I moved here, I lived in Korea for 11 years since I was born.  I still have some friends back in Korea, and I commute, understand, and even think in Korean.  I went to Korean school until 5th grade and thanks to my parents and internet, I keep in contact with Korea in some areas (that’s partially why some of my English skills are immature).  I know Koreans’ attitude, mannerisms, and reason why some fans go overboard.  Koreans are different than any other Western countries.  Our fundamental characteristics are different than yours.  Not that I’m ignorant of your knowledge, but I want to emphasize that hands-on experience can be far more than surfing on internet.  

We, as in international fans, well know that even though we claim titles of fandoms, we often lack communications with original Korean fandoms.  In my perspective, international fans’ behavior and Korean fans’ behavior are very different.  I read some blogs of furious BBCs in Korea, and they were very offensive towards Nichkhun, Chansung, and Junho, for criticizing Block B.  In respect, they were rude and ignorant.  Some other BBCs apologized and accepted their fault, but other immature, chocosongi fans posted blogs, in almost the level of “stupidity.”

First of all, Nichkhun is from Thailand, and he has a right to chastise Block B.  As an foreigner in Korea, Nichkhun must know what consequence would minority bring to its own country depending on its actions.  As a “Korean” singer and Thailand citizen, Nichkhun is the one who understands the most about Block B incident.  Block B are young and they need to be advised in someway, if necessary.  Junho and Chansung, as Koreans, also chastised Block B, but they never criticized them.  They in fact, did not mention Block B on Twitter, and they certainly did not offend them.  As sunbaes, they have their responsibilities to tell youngstars what they have done wrong and what they should fix.  Nichkhun, Juno, and Chansung did not offend Block B.

Block B apologized.  They actually recorded a videos with apologies.  Zico even shaved his hair (for Koreans, shaving hair is a grave thing to do, if it means as a declaration.  When Koreans riot, they often shave their hair to show that they are determined).  That means Block B understood their mistakes and wants to atone for what they had done.  However, Koreans do not take it seriously, for Korea finally reached the point where they cannot believe others’ proposal.  It’s sad, and I know, that Koreans are much more rotten than Americans.  I didn’t know I was like that until I moved to America.  Now, BBC finally found the troublesome commercial which Nichkhun was included, for they wanted to hurt Nichkhun.

The main problem is that we take this too far.  Even some K-Hottests are offending Block B and BBCs (and I apologize for their rudeness), and BBCs are hurting us back.  Hottests have gone through harsh times, and their patience is now thinner than ever before.  International fans, please don’t be influenced by K-fandom hatred.  Instead of hurting each other, advise each other to make a better way.  Block B learned by their mistakes, and they well know to treat other countries in a better way.  Korean fans, please stop fighting.  What’s good for us to keep fighting, if no outcome is beneficial?  I’m not angry anymore, that now they’ve learned their mistakes.
